Meet Our Staff


The Seed Program has an experienced and enthusiastic team to support your child and family. We have seven Master's Level Clinicians at Seed, including Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (LBA, BCBA), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).

Julie DeMarco

The Seed Program Executive Director

Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (LBA, BCBA)

Julie DeMarco is a Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (LBA, BCBA) and is the Clinical Director and Founder of The Seed Program. Julie has worked in the field of ABA Therapy for over 20 years, providing support for children with special needs since 1995. She is a founding member of the Autism Society of the Mid-South (now ARMS). In 2002, she started Sibshops, a group for siblings of children with disabilities. Julie obtained her Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and Research from The University of Memphis and received further training at The New England Center for Children in Boston. After living in the Northeast, Julie returned to Memphis to marry her husband and work as a Regional Behavior Specialist for Team Evaluation Center. Eventually, Julie began her own private practice as a BCBA, where she worked with families, consulted with public and private schools and gave professional presentations. Julie's professional interests include social skills training and advocacy. She desires to create an inclusive community for families of children with exceptional needs.


Adelaide Burrow

The Seed Program Clinical Director

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Adelaide was born and raised in Memphis. She has always loved working with children and has a special passion for children with special needs. She received her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education in 2017 & her Masters in Special Education with an emphasis on Autism from UT Austin in 2018.  

Adelaide loves helping children and families reach their goals, and has been dedicated licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2019. When she is not busy being a Champion BCBA, Adelaide enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. 


Annie Cornelius

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Annie Cornelius is the current president of the Tennessee Association for Behavior Analysis. received a Bachelor's in Psychology in 2006 and a Master of Science in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2016, both at the University of Memphis. She began providing ABA in the home-setting in 2011, under Julie Demarco's supervision. She has since worked in schools as well as in the clinical setting after becoming licensed and board certified. During her free time, Annie enjoys spending time with her husband and toddler and reading. 


Tori Cheek

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Tori, an Auburn Indiana ("Home of the classic cars") native, moved to Midtown in Spring of 2018 and has fallen in love with the area. The SEED Program helped Tori's transition period be extra sweet and peaceful.  Tori is a recent board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) and licensed behavior analyst (LBA). She has been with The SEED Program for 3 years and has loved getting to know the staff and students that have joined The SEED family. Along with working with early learners, she has a passion for teaching her students health and safety skills and tailoring them for each individual person. When not in the classroom, you can find her crocheting, reading, gardening and baking something to share with all of her coworkers (her specialties are PB&J cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies)!


Haley Winslow

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Haley is a native of Memphis, she has moved around a lot with her family but always finds herself back in her home town.

She received both her undergraduate degree in Psychology and her Master’s in ABA at the University of Memphis. She became a Licensed Behavior Analyst in February 2022.  

She loves working with children with special needs and getting to make learning fun in unique ways. In her spare time, Haley loves playing with her cats and hanging out with her friends and family. She can also be found constantly watching Grey’s Anatomy. 


Amy Watson

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Amy was born and raised in the Memphis area. She completed a double undergraduate degree at the University of Memphis, majoring in Child Development and Religion. Following graduation, Amy traveled around the world, serving various populations and cultures. She visited 11 countries in 11 months. When she returned to Memphis, she began a double Master’s program at the U of M, majoring in Social Work and Applied Behavior Analysis. Her choice of degrees reflect her passions for working with children and their families. When she is not working or studying, you will find her working out, hanging with family and friends, or trying to find new local restaurants in the Memphis area. 


Jenna Baine

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Jenna was born in Jackson, TN. She graduated from UT Martin in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After interning with a BCBA during her senior year of college, Jenna fell in love with the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis. Jenna completed her last semester of graduate school at the University of Memphis, studying ABA and has received her board certifications as a Behavior Analyst! 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as playing with her dachshund named Babette

Shelly Campbell

Special Education Teacher

Shelly Campbell is an experienced education specialist with a history of working in primary education. She is skilled in PK-8 Education, Speech-Language therapy, Special Education, and Educational Leadership. Shelly attended Delta State University for her undergraduate degree in Speech Language Pathology and the University of Memphis for her master’s degree in Master of Arts in Teaching focused in Comprehensive Special Education. When she is not working, she is spending time with her family. 


Suzanne Lumpkin

Educational Specialist

Suzanne is an educational specialist with over 20 years of experience teaching students with special needs. A native of Booneville, Mississippi, Suzanne attended the University of North Alabama for her undergraduate degree in English and Mississippi College for her master's degree in Dyslexia Therapy. She then earned a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Suzanne is also a Certified Academic Language Therapist. When not working, Suzanne enjoys cooking, reading, and soapmaking.

Mary Hattie McAlister

Registered Behavior Technician

Mary Hattie McAlister is a native of Memphis, TN. She attended college at Mississippi State University for two years where she studied Special Education before transferring home to the University of Memphis where she completed her Bachelors degree in Youth Services with a concentration in Integrative Studies. She has been working with children with special needs for over 8 years and has been with The Seed Program since 2014. Mary Hattie loves to make learning fun and interactive everyday! In her free time , she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her golden retriever Ripley. Some of Mary Hattie's favorite things are: spending time outside, visiting Shelby Farms, and college football.


Brooke McLillie Robbins

Registered Behavior Technician

Brooke was born and raised in Tipton County. She has been working with exceptional children since 2015 and enjoys every bit of it!  Brooke is a 2019 graduate of the University of Memphis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Professional Studies with a focus in both Child Development and Family Studies and Applied Behavior Analysis. She successfully passed her RBT test in Fall of 2019. She plans to begin a masters program in ABA in January of 2020. In her spare time, Brooke enjoys spending time with her fiancé, playing with her dogs Timber and Memphis, camping, hunting, and cleaning her house! 


Chelsea Sims

Registered Behavior Technician

Chelsea received her bachelors degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Harding University in May of 2014. She acquired her Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in November 2019, while working at the SEED Program. Chelsea has a passion for working with early learners. She came to SEED "hoping to help kids be the best they can be". When she is not working, Chelsea enjoys reading as much as she can, trying new recipes, and organizing game nights with her friends. 


Yahaira Pita                                                       

Club Connect Event Coordinator/ Registered Behavior Technician

Yahaira Pita is a native Memphian who loves to work with special needs children utilizing ABA Therapy. She has been with the SEED Program since 2017. Yahaira has a few nicknames, including Ms. Pita, Ms. Ghaira and Ms. Haira. In her spare time, Yahaira enjoys watching movies & Netflix, her favorite movies include Wreck-it-Ralph and Lala Land. Yahaira loves Batman, Chocolate and Starbucks! She hopes to visit Italy, New York, and Majorca some day.


Adrienne Mitchell

Registered Behavior Technician

Adrienne calls Memphis home. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at UT Chattanooga. She has her RBT certification and she is very excited to further her education in ABA at the University of Memphis. She is currently pursuing her Masters, in hopes of being a BCBA one day! Adrienne is thankful for the opportunity to gain quality experience while providing quality service at SEED!


Meghan Witt

Elementary Classroom Teacher

Registered Behavior Technician

Meghan was raised in Colorado, where she found her love for working with children. She began her studies at the University of Northern Colorado. Over the past ten years, Meghan has worked in the public school setting, serving students of all abilities. She worked for five years in Colorado before moving to Middle Tennessee. Most recently, Meghan worked with a team of special educators to develop a program for students with mental health issues and behavioral disorders in the public school setting. Meghan is passionate about helping students achieve success, both academically and behaviorally. In 2017-2018, Meghan was awarded Classified Employee of the Year for CMCSS school district in Clarksville, Tennessee. In 2018-2019, she was awarded Classified Employee of the Year for LSSD in Lebanon, Tennessee. Her family relocated to Memphis for her husband's job. The move to Memphis has opened up a new opportunity for Meghan to work alongside students and empower them as they learn and grow. She is currently working on completing her Registered Behavior Technician training. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two young children. her husband, and her pup, Teddy. 


Laken Chism

Elementary Classroom Teacher,Intake Coordinator

Registered Behavior Technician 

Laken was born in Corinth, Mississippi and currently lives in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated in 2018 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi, and is currently in her last year of graduate school studying ABA at the University of Memphis. Laken has been working in the field of ABA for a little over two years, and loves watching kids learn and grow! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on road trips, and watching movies. 


Marissa Hampton

Registered Behavior Technician

Marissa was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology at Louisiana State University in August 2019. Shortly after graduating, she moved back to Memphis and taught a kindergarten inclusion class for a year. She is currently in the process of completing her Registered Behavior Technician training and has enjoyed her time at SEED thus far! In Marissa’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, boyfriend, and pet turtle Ronnie!

Aubrey Garneau

Green Room Teacher

Registered Behavior Technician

Aubrey is originally from Nashville, TN but moved to Memphis at a young age. She has always felt very passionate about working with children with various disabilities and is very excited to live out that passion at SEED! Aubrey received her undergraduate degree in Education at The University of Memphis and hopes to one day become a BCBA. When she is not at work you can find her exploring the outdoors or on the couch with her beloved kitty, Zola!

Megan Doss

Registered Behavior Technician

Megan grew up in Nashville, TN but has been a Memphian at heart since 2010. Megan graduated from Rhodes College with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a minor in Psychology. She later attended The University of Missouri to pursue her Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Science with a focus in Child Life. After she had completed an internship at Children’s Mercy Kansas City,  Megan went on to earn her Child Life Specialist certification. She worked as a Child Life Specialist at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. In her spare time, Megan enjoys antiquing, eating food other people have prepared for her, and cuddling with her dog.


Johan Torres

Registered Behavior Technician

Johan was born in a small town in Mexico and has lived in Memphis since he was 3. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Christian Brothers University in 2019. During his final semester, Johan interned at Harwood Center, where he found a passion for ABA. He began working in the field following his graduation and now enjoys having a part in children’s progress. In his free time, Johan enjoys playing soccer, tennis, and video games, as well as finding a new good book, TV show, or movie.


Maddie Gonzales

Registered Behavior Technician

Maddie was born and raised in Memphis. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology from the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. After graduation, she returned to her hometown and began work at SEED. She has always had a passion for working with children and watching them grow and develop in their own unique way. She is very excited to be a part of the SEED team! Maddie is a huge movie buff and loves spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Kylo Ren!


Illeana Real

Behavior Technician

Illeana was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Memphis. She loves children and has always had a passion to work with them and help them.  She has a 14 year old brother who has Down Syndrome and she’s enjoyed being part of his journey- a journey which inspired her to pursue a career in working with special needs children. In her spare time, Illeana likes to watch movies with her family, and spend time with cousins and friends.  Her favorite show is The Office and her favorite movies are Lilo & Stitch and The Karate Kid. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors and traveling to new places. Ileana is very excited to have an opportunity be working at The SEED Program and watch our kiddos grow!


Tiara Leaper

Registered Behavior Technician

Tiara was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She attended college at Jackson State University where she  received a bachelor in Social work . After graduation Tiara relocated to Houston , TX to pursue the ABA field . She has been in the field for 4 years and has had her RBT license for over a year.  She is currently back in Memphis to help her grandmother and relatives and to complete her Masters in Applied behavioral Analysis in Organizational Behavior Management. Tiara enjoys watching basketball and football- her favorite teams are Tennessee Titans and Memphis Grizzlies.


Rachel Daniels

Registered Behavior Technician

Rachel is originally from St. Louis, MO, but moved to Memphis in December of 2022 after graduating with a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Mississippi. She always knew she wanted to pursue some sort of psychology, but discovered the field of ABA in the final semester of her undergraduate degree and fell in love with the field. She hopes to soon pursue a Master's degree in ABA and one day become a BCBA.  In her spare time, Rachel enjoys exploring the outdoors (especially National Parks!), baking, and hanging out with friends and family!"


Suzanna Autry

Behavior Technician

Suzanna was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis in 2019, and is currently working on her Master's degree in ABA through the University of Arizona. Suzanna began working in an early learning program shortly after graduation, where she discovered a passion for helping kids learn and grow through play. In her spare time, you can find her spending time with friends, reading, and cuddling with her sweet dog, Rosie!


Sarah Pruett VanderSteeg

Behavior Coordinator

Sarah was born and raised in Memphis. She graduated in 2013 from Mississippi State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies/ Emphasis in Child Life. She completed an internship in Child Life at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children before graduating and went on to pursue a certification in Child Life. Following graduation, she worked at LeBonheur Children's Hospital as a Certified Child Life Specialist in the NICU. Over the past several years, Sarah has pursued her passion for helping children with special needs, and she has a special heart for supporting staff, administration, and families in their critical work. 

During her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children, walking,

 and catching up with friends.


Jessie Stewart

Blue Room Teacher

Registered Behavior Technician

Jessie was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She recently graduated from university of Memphis with her bachelors degree in Psychology with minors in Child Development and Applied Behavior Analysis. She is currently working on becoming a Registered Behavior Technician and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge and collaborating with others at SEED. Jessie is very passionate about early intervention and fascinated by the small minds all around us. When she’s not working, she enjoys being outdoors, going to trivia, and spending time with her family and friends.
